Oooh I was going "where's beauvoir?!" and there it is - in mississipi!!! how brilliant!!!! did you find anything?!!? usually it's flint isn't it?! My friend and I went to dig in Scotland in the mid 1990's (that really ages me!!)and we were so happy to find these bits of what we thought were just funny shaped pebbles but were flint!!

I found a Confederate Button (which probably came from one of the reinactors costumes and not an actual soldiers uniform. We also found pieces of china in Varina Davis' china pattern, lots of charcoal as we were digging in an old rubbish pit, an old drainage pipe that wasn't on the plans of the house they have (so was a noteworthy find). Everything had to be turned in and cataloged so no keepsakes, except for the pictures.
