Wildlife Wednesday

Do you see HER????? The Goose is sitting on a nest.

The Gander swims around the pond looking for intruders.

Silly Gander, we wouldn't have seen the Goose if he hadn't been stationed in front of the island, so we knew to look.

Pretty soon I will have goslings to help watch after. I helps the Gander keep an eye out for intruders. They are part of my flock. I misses them when they leaves. ~Fenris, Flock Guardian Extraordinaire.

  3. Er, I don't think so. She probably would not like that. And believe me you do not want a Goose/Gander chasing you. ~Fenris

  4. I DON' T LIKE GEESE. They are part of the reason I no longer like to take walks. A Mother Goose tried to attack me once when Dad had me by a lake, she thought I was too close to her babies. Geese can be MEAN!

  5. You are very much GOOD to the Goose and Gander.

Did you know that I (Frankie Furter) once FOUND a Goose's Egg that had rolled outta the nest... I did that I really DID... I ran and told Mom to come and see what I had found and then I showed her them Goose on her nest... I did NOT touch or bother it... I felt so sorry fur the mom she could SEE her lost egg butt could never have gotten it back into the nest. It was SAD.

  8. How wonderful you watch for intruders to keep the goslings safe, too. I hope Mister knows that adult geese are aggressive when they have babies around!
