Thursday in the Garden

Mommy took these photos last week when we had sleet on the ground. As you can see the Shasta Daisy's are very hardy.

Poor birds there water is frozen.

The Hummingbird Cottage was blanketed in sleet.

If you look very closely you might see a bird flying over the pond.

Some areas didn't get any sleet at all while others had a good bit.

The sleet around the pond stuck around the longest.

While the Butterfly Garden was practically sleet free.

This little bird was out looking for worms.

The Azaleas and Bottlebush are fine

 The Rosemary is OK.

Even though it has icicles hanging from it.

Home sweet home although a bit colder then normal for us.

The  Rosemary in the Charybdis Bed is doing fine too.

This concludes our report for the Society of Feline Gardeners. Hi Jonesie.

Your pictures are amazing. Sleet can be nasty to live with. Looks like lots of things did survive tho, so that's good. Love your gardens.

It's a good thing you weren't here today Tui. We had a foot of snow yesterday. It is all light and fluffy and lots of fun to run through but I'm sure you would have gotten cold.

Beautiful pictures. It is hard to get anything to make it through this harsh weather.

Everything looks cold - so far we have escaped the snow, ice and stuff.

How amazing. We're so glad we're outside the area that gets that weather, and we hope it melts away quickly for you!

Too bad it wasn't snow, we bet Fenris would love some. At least you still have plants growing. POor Phantom is trying to find a blade or two of grass for his upset tummy, but there isn't a one to be found. Not many birds around either, we wonder where they all go when it gets this cold.
