#FFHT Socks says "I knew I needed a good excuse for . . ."

Meow, it's Socks here you may have heard I took my new man cave for a spin. Who knew it could be turned into a carrier with the flick of the Mom's wrist. Seriously, not cool dudes. Anyway where was I ............. oh yeah I had spent a lovely day outside with the parents helping them pick blueberries and maybe nibbling a little grass, the parents were hot sweaty and tired and we all came in the house and well I was meowing funny and gagging.

"I knew I needed a good excuse for gagging" I tried my best to think of one, but I kinda got distracted by the ham. Mommy wanted to see if I would try to eat it. Well of course I did, I mean I LOVE HAM!  and do you know how long it has been since I have had ham??????? Sometime before August 2013, that is how long, cause that is when I started the Y/D nothing else blah blah blah diet.

Well I tried my best to eat it, but I gagged on it and it came right back up, so first thing in the morning it was off to the vet. My regular vet was off so I got to meet Humphrey Finnegan (I hope I spelled his name right) and his purrson (who is a vet).  His purrson gave me some medicine and that deranged woman I call Mom dutifully poked it down my throat as prescribed and well I seem to be all better. But I really wish I could have thought of a good excuse for gagging.

~Socks for FFHT

PS: We really don't know what was wrong, Socks didn't have a fever. The best guess is he somehow scratched his throat. He was given a medicine for nausea and one to coat his throat and apparently one of them did the trick as he ate very well that afternoon.

Ham! I could've helped you eat that! ...before (or after) you gagged it up. Just saying.

The vet thinks it may have been the grass.

Poor Socks...sorry about the man cave visit to the vet. I imagine you got hold of something that didn't set well while you were outside nibbling. We're so happy that you are eating now :)
