Thursday in the Garden with Socks

I (Socks) really enjoy the Forsythia,  it is one of the first plants that blooms here. This picture was taken around the first of February.

This is our winter pot it has rosemary, lavender, pansies and Star Jasmine in it.

I really like it when the rosemary blooms.

Our Pineapple Sage bloomed all winter, it is still blooming today. This is VERY ODD. It usually blooms toward the end of summer and then dies back in the winter.

After lots of meowing from ME, Mommy finally weeded the flowerbeds.

The Daffodils are blooming.

The Azaleas are putting on a show. Hi Mom.

The Quince is lovely.

The Chinese Witch Hazel is looking good.

We wonder if they named it after our Grandma Hazel?

The Snowdrops are really pretty.

Mommy thought the red blooms on this tree was pretty. We will have to work on identifying it. We think it is a Red Maple.

I hope you enjoyed walking in the garden with me. ~Socks, reporting for ATCAD

  2. You sure do have a pretty garden with all those blooms to show us already. We do have some bluebells and crocus and snowdrops, too.
But is will be a long time before we see other flowers.

  4. We have very few signs of Spring here yet.....azaleas nowhere near ready to bloom - only one thing is blooming and that's the row of Bradford pear trees down the driveway!

  6. We have NOTHIN' here in our garden yet. Noticed some purpling up of the daphnes but they're not actually blooming yet. And Peep #1 said she saw some buds on the primroses in the sunroom (nothing yet on the outside ones) but they're still hidden by the leaves. I'm REALLY hoping spring will arrive soon 'cause... well... 'cause I just want it to!
