Thankful Thursday

Hi, I asked to do todays post as I have a lot to be thankful for.

I am thankful for a nice house where I can watch bird TV in comfort.

I am thankful we have a greenhouse where the plants can stay during the winter.

And that we can play in.

I am thankful for our yard where I can hunt bugs.

I am especially thankful that even though I am a black cat I am loved and wanted.

It makes me sad that so many black cats have trouble finding homes. Black Cats Tell All is trying to change that.

I am thankful for all the people that are trying to help black cats find homes.

But most of all I am thankful for all my friends. I am very sad that another one of our friends has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

We knew her best as The Cat From Hell, but her most recent blog is Nellie on the Edge. Scylla had a great time hanging out with her at Mango Minster (which was way before my time). I wish I had gotten to know her better. This has been a very sad year in blogland as so many of our dear friends and our beloved Socks have packed their bags for the rainbow bridge. But I am thankful for their friendship and the time we had together. ~Yin, feeling thankful for ATCAD

We have so much to be thankful for - I'm grateful for our friends who are no longer with us, because my life is so much richer, having known them.

That's a lot of thankfulness Y. Adoption does that to a furry. We know how to count our blessings. Math confuses me, so counting isn't my strength, but even I know the blessings are all there.

Yin, you certainly have some great things for which to be thankful. So many wonderful friends have left us recently, including your brofur Socks and the amazing Queen Nellie. It makes us so very sad. We are happy, however, to see many nice tributes for Nellie. We LOVE black cats. In fact our mom plans to write about her very first heart cat, black kitty Thelma, next week. We love how your tail is curled in the first two photos. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy.

It's a good thing to stop and be thankful for our blessings. There are always others who have less or have a more difficult time in life... It is sad when our furiends pass, but another way to look at it is we'll have someone else to greet us when we make our own journey to the other side.
