Tuiren Tuesday

Yep, I am actually here to post on Tuiren Tuesday, everybody has informed me that I am a real slacker when it comes to posting. Well there isn't much going on here, we didn't get to go walking Thursday because it came a tornado (don't worry it wasn't bad at our house). The bad Mommy went walking at Bellingrath Gardens Saturday. They do not allow pets on the grounds, BUT Mommy says that if anyone traveling with their pet wants to tour the grounds they do have a FREE pet hotel for the pets to hang out in while their people are exploring. I'll ask Mommy to share pictures with you soon, it was gorgeous according to her.

Now several of you asked Yinny about lizards and she gave me permission to respond. No, we don't carry them in the house that would make Mommy cross and they taste like chicken. But Yin and I both agree you shouldn't eat lizard because they make you barf and for some reason that makes Mommy cross, you shouldn't eat grass either apparently. If you barf to much Mommy will take you to the vet, so best not to eat the lizards or the grass. ~Tuiren, reporting for ATCAD

What Kind of Lizards Are Deadly to Cats When Ingested?

Are Lizards Toxic to Cats?

Are Geckos Poisonous to Dogs?

The Mom here: In all honesty Yinny doesn't know how lizards taste because she has never caught one. While Yin, Tuiren and Yang have a ball chasing them the lizards are very good at getting away as they have lots of ground cover and small spaces to squeeze into that the cats and dogs can't get to, not even Chimera. They also get hissed at if it looks as if they are going to catch one. Although Tuiren and Yinny both asked me to tell you that I am not a very good hisser, Yinny on the other hand excels at hissing. ~Alasandra, reporting for ATCAD

My human actually loves lizards, and she rescued them a couple of times from Sparkle - they occasionally get in the house here, although it's been a few years since that's happened. (Either that, or since Sparkle is gone, nobody else can catch them.) I never see them when I'm outside on my leash... maybe they don't like me?

They are very good at blending in. We actually have some little pink geckos here the Mom thinks they are pretty and they are easier to see.

We hope it works too as we have no idea how to do that.

Nice to see you today,Tuiren. We wish we had lizards where we live. We think they would be fun to play with. But we promise we wouldn't eat any.

I would love to come chase lizards with you Tuiren. You are looking very lovely today. Please don't eat too much grass or any lizards because we don't want your mom to get mad or for you to have to go to the vet.

Yours,

Walter

Glad to hear you are all OK with all those nasty tornadoes around. Misty (and once upon a time Ciara) keeps trying to catch lizards on or walk, but they are just too darn fast.

We remember trying to catch lizards(anoles) and they would lose their tails to try and get away...soooo frustrating!

Tabby cat loves to chase catch and sadly kill just about anything that moves here. Doesn't make Mom very happy at all. I on the other hand have no clue how to kill a thing, except the squeakers in my yellow Kong balls. This makes Mom a happy camper as who wouldn't want to go to the pet store every week to get me a new supply. (I don't like squeaky balls that don't squeak so I'm done with them when they don't squeak their protest at my biting them).

We don't have lizards here, though we might see a crayfish near/in the creek, various turtles and sometimes a salamander. But...we do not go outside...well, us kitties - we sneak out there sometimes, but we have not done other than nosh on some grass shoots.

Dog-guy would try to dead those if he saw them. Terriers try to dead evfurrything! Even snakes...
