Remembering Wednesday

I miss Yinny. I told you last week how she always stayed near me during my last days.

I often held her tail for comfort.  I am pleased to see that she has gotten over my loss and that she is taking care of Mommy for me. She often sits in the swing with Mommy and reads.

One of the events at the Tabby Cat Club after I left was to tell how you got your family. I don't think any of you know the story of my Gotcha Day as I was adopted long before we had a blog. The boys wanted cats and one year for Christmas and Youngest Boy's Birthday (he is born near Christmas)  Mommy took the boys to visit a lady that fostered kittens. They picked out Whiskers and Ashly (youngest boy's cat, he was an orange tabby). Unfortunately Ashley slipped out of the house one day without Mommy knowing it and got up in the motor of her car. Youngest was very sad and after a while they went to the YMCA where he picked out Princess (she looked just like Yin) sadly not long after she came to live with them she had some sort of seizure and died before they could get her to the vet. Poor Youngest was very very sad and one day when they were visiting Grandma and Grandpa they saw Miss Kitty's kittens. We were about 6 weeks old and very wild. Youngest agreed to take whichever kitten Mommy could capture although he asked her to try to get ME! Mommy was a lot younger then and much more flexible she dove off the deck hanging on to the post with her feets and the hanging human captured me. I was a good boy and learned to use the litterbox (which was a shoe box I was so small) my very first day with them.

Kittens are really fast, Angel Socks...and tiny! Humans are kind of big and lumbering, even at our best! You were/are adorable.

Merci is the one who sits vigil around here. It's good you had Yinny to keep you company. And now she keeps your mom company. Thanks for sharing your gotcha story. You are missed.
