Sunday Stand in Yin

Blast it Chimera and Yang went over the fence AGAIN.

And here I am standing in for Scylla. The truth is Mommy always has more pictures of me than any of the other cats now that Socks is gone because I am the most photogenic. Socks used to be her main model, he passed that particular torch to me.

Many of you have expressed surprise about me being Mommy's main model as I am a solid black cat, Mommy says the outside lighting works best to bring out my features and the lovely shadings my fur has.

She says that a good model also has to be patient and take direction from the photographer. I possess these qualities my siblings do not.

They are always running to and fro, often when Mommy tries to take their picture she just gets a blur.

I try to walk at a measure pace so she can get action shots.

Mommy LOVES this picture of me. We have agreed it can be my selfie. Mommy says profile pictures often turn out best for black cats, so if you have a black cat and are having trouble taking a picture you like, try a profile shot.

I also try to purrfect the model poses. This is the head over the shoulder look you often see in magazines, it is sorta hard to pull off.

Chimera is back and she wants to PLAY. Notice I fuzzed up for a pounce but I held my pose so Mommy could get the shot.

Sometimes it is hard to pose when your siblings are distracting you.

Now if Mommy had just put the hose away this would be a great shot. The sun is providing great lighting.

Mommy wanted to do a flower shot, but it was blocking my eyes, so it didn't turn out the way she wanted. You have to take lots and lots of pictures to get really great ones.

Well I hope you enjoyed my photo shoot and don't mind that I stood in for Scylla. ~Yin, giving modeling tips for ATCAD

  2. Yin, don't tell Scylla and the rest, but I think you just took the mantle of best selfie doer! Love the pose of you in profile and also I think the flower shot worked really well with a kind of African Plains/Veldt feel to it.
