Floral Friday Flashback (Fall Flowers)

Some plants look the same all year, especially the tropicals that live in the Green House in the Winter, the Butterfly Plant is one of them.

The Sky plant is another.

The Cuphea on the other hand is planted in a flower bed and it dies back in the winter and comes back every Spring.

We bet you can't guess how the Butterfly Plant got it's name.

The Candle Bush is another Tropical, but it can survive our winters, or rather it reseeds itself. Mommy keeps one in the green house though.

We have no clue what Mommy was taking a picture of here, we suspect she was trying to get a picture of a Hummingbird.

We also have Goldenrod that grows wild.

Ginger Lilies, they smell awesome.

And our Cypress we love the way it's leaves change colors and look it has a little nut on it. ~ATCAD

Hummingbirds are tuff to photograph since they're so fast!

Just looking at the golden rod made Mom sneeze. It used to be her brother's annual spring chore to chop down the golden weed so grandma and the girls could breath.
