Tocktober Tocks for Derby

Every year we tell Mommy we has to show our tocks to Derby in Tocktober and every year she forgets until it is too late. Well we knows this is the last day in Tocktober but we finally has pictures of at least two tocks in our household. Mommy says this is a good Halloween picture as my tail is Halloween colors. And I trust you know who I am without me telling you.

I looked all over the house for some BAGS, but I couldn't find any. I finally gave up and took a nap in my box. I like to play in paper BAGS, but they are hard to find. We are not allowed to play in plastic BAGS.

We wanted to participate in Fin's Tweet Week, but the bird wouldn't cooperate. He is very shy and lives down at the pond. He is some type of water bird. Mommy has been trying to get a picture of him for ages. We thinks part of the problem was Mom's slow reflex's and less then stellar photo skills

She also managed to snag  pictures of our blue dragonfly. Although if we didn't know it was the dragonfly we would be very puzzled by her pictures of it.

Product Review ~ Cat Quest

Us cats are very excited we were asked to do a product review. A  box came in the mail for us and you all know how much we loves boxes, but this box was the best yet cause it had a toy inside of it. The toy is called a Cat Quest. The company that makes Cat Quest is called Crazy Pets and  it's run by pets., how cool is that. This toy was easy to assemble even our Mommy could do it. We are each going to take turns telling you about it and in a couple of weeks we will even have some pictures of us playing with it to show you. Mommy has to do some computer cleaning and free up some memory so she can download the pictures. Which doesn't make any sense to us but maybe it does to you or your beans.

(Charybdis) I get to go first because I was the first one that tried it. I loves it. It is almost as good as a real dragonfly. The wings really do flutter and unlike the dragonflies I chase outside I can actually catch this one. It makes a neat noise too. Even when boybean hid the dragonfly I could find it if he made the wings flutter. Now I do have to report that I am really rough on toys and when I got too aggressive I pulled the wings off, but they snapped right back on. This toy requires supervision as you can not chew on the cord or eat the bug, I wanted to do both. I gives it 3 paws, since I am not allowed to eat it. ~Charybdis

(Socks) 0 paws from me. I am sure it's a purrfectly nice toy, the girls certainly seem to like it, but I have never liked toys that move. Give me some nice stationary feathers that I can walk up to and bite or a stationary ball I can whap around the room and I am your cat. But I really don't like to play with the beans and toys on strings. Now I has to agree with Mommy, my brother Whiskers would have loved this toy. He loved playing with Daddy while I sat in Mommy's lap. But I don't, in fact I was a tad afraid of it when Mommy made the wings flutter. Real dragonflies aren't that loud. Besides training Fenris fully occupies my time, I don't have time to play. I am happy to report that I can now just lift a paw and the lad runs to hide behind Mommy (silly doggie he is like 4 times my size). We touched noses today. I wanted his canned dog food. I thinks I need to work on the training. He didn't slink off and give me the food, he ATE IT HIMSELF, with me watching!!!!!! I thought about sharing the bowl with him but ........ well his MOUTH is awfully BIG, and he didn't leave any leftovers.

Ok, this is a really lousy picture Mommy took it with the phone but as you can see this toy meets with my full approval. I gives it 4 paws. I am sure she will take some better pictures of me playing with it with the camera. I was the last one to test it as Mommy had lost me outside (silly woman didn't even know I wasn't under the bed until she brought the toy to coach me out from under the bed). I was checking the barn out, I really thinks I should get rid of some of the vermin in there. Anyway even though I was tired after my barn workout I mustered the energy to play with this. It is FUN!!!!!! Mommy muttered something about it being a good way for me to exercise ( I thinks she meant playing with me would be a good way for her to exercise, she is the one that needs to lose weight). Anyway I leaped up to catch it, I ran down the hall after it and I CAUGHT IT! I likes the fluttering wings and the noise it makes. In fact I likes everything about it.

I have been running around outside all day and I am just to exhausted for words.

I thought this would be a comfy place to sleep, but I am afraid I may be too exposed.

I should be safe from Scylla and her pounces here in my shoebox.

Mancat Monday

I am watching Mommy, Daddy & Fenris drag tree limbs to the burn pile. Apparently the beans expect woofies to work for their keep. Boy am I glad nobody expects me to "help" keep the yard picked up.

This is a good spot to watch Fenris from. I like to keep an eye on the pup.

Now it is time for some serious snoozing.

We are joining Confucius Cat in Purrs 4 Peace Week 20 Announcement: Forget Gimme Shelter. Gimme a Home.

This is particularly dear to our hearts as except for Socks we are all rescues. Socks was rescued from Grandma so we reckons he might qualify as a rescue too. Mommy has had several black cats through her life and she doesn't understand why people are so prejudice against black cats and dogs. She loves us all, no matter what color our fur. We are purring extra hard that people will start adopting pets and stop  buying pets from puppy mills. It's heartbreaking to know that people are deliberately breeding pets when there are so many in shelters that need homes. So we say DON'T SHOP ADOPT!

We decided to share a picture of Whiskers our favourite black cat.  Maybe one day we can get Mommy off her tocks and she can scan in a picture of Princes (solid black cat) & Whiskers sitting in the window. They looked like bookends.

And would you please say a few extra prayers for The Lakemoore Cats, especially Houdini.  This is what her rescuer Eric had to say.

Houdini needs your prayers.She was the last cat to be rescued at The Lakemore house. She was without food & water while hiding from me for three days at the house. She was shaky and under weight, but the Vet thought she could still go through vetting. I was worried and now she is fighting for her life with pneumonia .She had blood bubbles as she breathed. The Vet said if she lived through the night she has a chance. Although she is just holding her own, she is still alive and doing better than yesterday And she did make it through the night.

Flowers on Friday by Socks

I am taking a break from the flowers to eat a mouse I caught.

Mommy has been weeding the flowers, I got bored watching her and went hunting. Mommy is rather weird she is grossed out by my dining habits.

Mommy had almost finished weeding all the flowerbeds when it started raining again. I suspects that when it finally dries out she will have to start over with her weeding.
