Help save Brandie from death

We have just read about a terrible injustice. Brandie a 10 year old Husky Mix was being walked by her owners on a leash when a toy poodle ran out of it's yard and lunged at Brandie. Brandie protected herself from the dog, but now because of some STUPID law she may be Put to Sleep.

Please go sign the petition.

She has a hearing May 20th, we will be purring that the Judge realizes Brandie was provoked and didn't do anything wrong. She had every RIGHT to protect herself from attack.

There is too much of this "dangerous dog" garbage being used to destroy good dogs that have not done anything to deserve it.

We signed. This almost happened to our guardian angel dog Colby. Mom had Colby on a leash and some silly people at a park had their little dog off leash and the little dog ran at Colby and lunghed at her quite agressively. If mom had not been quick to pull up Colby by the collar so she couldn't get to the little dog, we hate to think what would have happened.

We signed as well. While sad that Brandie's defense of an unprovoked attack resulted in the other dog's death, she was defending herself in the natural way of her species.

The law clearly needs to be changed. At the very least, the mitigating circumstances in this case should be considered. There is hope - in a comment in the article you referenced, the writer indicated another victim of an unprovoked attack had been allowed to return home, albeit after a lengthy appeal of the case.
