Mommy is going to kill you stupid beaver

This is what is left of our purple wisteria. Mommy is very sad. We thinks the beaver chewed it down. It doesn't realize that it has just had a War on Beaver declared. Mommy tried this Scouts Solution (when half the wisteria was still there) but it didn't work, the beaver came back and finished the wisteria off. Does anyone have any easy ideas for preventing the beaver from finishing off the white wisteria it has already started on.

UPDATE:
Sigh Mommy was very excited about the "cage" for the remaining wisteria TBT recommended but after talking with several people she realized it wouldn't work, while it would save the remaining wisteria the beaver would just move on to one of her other plants, so unless Mommy had the time, money and stamina to build a zillion cages the beaver would win.

Another good idea which we would really like to do but don't have the funds or time for would be to fence the whole Butterfly Garden in, and let Fenris stay down there to guard the plants. Maybe Daddy can add that to his to do list.

So the solution seems to be to find someone to sit down there at night and shoot it, or for someone to trap it. Mommy called the wildlife service and someone is suppose to come next week or sooner if possible and see about exterminating it. We really didn't want to have it killed even though it was working Daddy to death unstopping the pipe, but now that it is eating our flowers we don't have much of a choice unless we are willing to let it eat everything in the Butterfly Garden.

Mommy is going to try to walk Fenris down there at night and hopefully that will scare the beaver off from eating anymore plants until the wildlife people can get to us.

So sorry:( The deer and bunnies eat a lot of the flowers here, but we haven't seen any beavers. Wish we had a solution for you.

That is just wrong!!!! I am sure the beavers had no clue how special the wisteria was but then again . . . they were also trespassing.
Sorry about this.

I just emailed some instructions. It was my first thought. But I verified it at a few beaver sites.

(For other readers, it is a circle of 4' high welded wire)

Thanks for the instructions TBT, Mommy is going to go talk to the people at the feed store and see what they have to create the 4' high welded wire plant cage (we guesses that is what you would call it).

Mommy told Artemisia that since she is such a good mouser she should KILL the beaver for Mommy. Especially since Arty loved to sit under the wisteria the beaver chewed down. But we thinks beavers may be a tad to big for Arty Mouse.

Darn that beaver! We have bunnies and vishus deers that eat our plants. Dad brought home some stuff that is pig's blood...supposed to keep critters away. But, boy, it really stinks!! No wonder they stay away!!

The poor wisteria! We don't have beavers since we can't offer any solution, except for Arty mouse to get big and strong to fight off the beaver :)
