Wordy Wednesday

They had some pretty blue Veronica on clearance at Lowes, so Mommy got some to go in the front flowerbed at the Hummingbird Cottage. It was kinda empty except for the roses.

 She also got some Butterflyweed.

It looked kinda puny right after we planted it, but it has perked up nicely now. We also planted a Clematis that was on clearance. It was so tiny and bedraggled there wasn't much to show you. But it has started growing and we has our paws crossed it will bloom. We don't know what color it is going to be.

I is going to take a short break here in the shade. Why don't you join me?

Beautiful bargains, Artemisia, and we just know your Mom will make them bloom magnificently. We would love to rest with you in the shade. Even in the shade here it is very warm.

I'll bet those plants are REALLY happy in their beautiful new home!!! They will probably grow and bloom TWICE as much as normal.

So beautiful! We tried the butterfly flower a few summers ago, but unfortunately it didn't make it. We were so sad and might try it again. Let me know how yours makes out.

Your pal, Pip

Arty! We all want to come over! We'll try to behave. Maybe.

Our Daddy gardens the same way, he brings home the clearance and sickly plants and loves 'em back to life.
