Since where we live is zoned agricultural/residential I think he is in violation of lots of things.
I know when the person who owns the property next door (they don't live there) wanted to put in a snowball stand all the neighbors within a certain distance were contacted and had a chance to object to it before a permit was granted. I can't believe a race track wouldn't require notification.
I am just unsure who to contact or if they will bother to do anything about it even if it is illegal.
I do not blame you for being upset. It does not seem like that should be legal. I wish I knew what to do to help you, but I think you have a right to peace and quiet on your own property. Grrrr!
Everyone thank you so much. Just being able to talk about it and express my frustration has been a relief and now I do have some ideas. And on a more cheerful note. The sun is shining and I have been able to enjoy working in the flower beds and garden this morning.

That is so sad. Have you checked to see if there are any zoning restrictions on noise?
ReplyDeletePoor you. Noise is bad. It would be illegal in Denmark, probably, but we don't know anything about your laws and regulations.

I am not sure if Jackson County has a noise ordinance. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the idea.
