They are the only roses we have that bloom in the Fall.
The Butterfly Plant.
The Cape Honeysuckle
The Firespike
Someone had asked if the Lily of the Nile was a vine or a shrub so we thought we would show them the entire plant and not just the bloom. Its a clumping perennial and the flowers grow on long stalks that shoot up.
Lantana
A little Hummingbird that knocked himself out fighting with another Hummer. Mommy rescued him and gave him some sugar water in a cap. She put him on the porch of the birdfeeder till he recuperated.
Pineapple Sage
And now for our Poem about something that starts with an U for Sammy's Thoroughly Poetic Thursday.
Unicorn
I have never seen a Unicorn
I never hope to see one
But I would love to be one.

Poor hummer! Your garden is so pretty!
Lovely garden and nice to see since our garden is in hibernation.
We are happy you were able to save that hummer :)

Gorgeous flowers! Love the unicorn poem ... sums up my feelings nicely as well :)
Under the spreading honeysuckle the unique hummer falls.
Unless we revive him with tlc, underhanded predators may usher him away.
A U poem. From Loulou

We love seeing all your flowers. This week our dad cut down all our perennials since they were long past blooming. How great that you were able to help that hummer.
Such pretties still in your garden!
Poor wee hummer, nice that you rescued him. We hope he eventually recovered and buzzed away.
Cute poem!
What a super duper poem about the supposedly (!) mythical unicorn. They are rather spectacular and who knows - maybe they really ARE real?! I still like being a CAT though instead of a unicorn.........
Love, Sammy
Everything sure is pretty, especially the Sniffie Rose. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
All your flowers are so lovely. We've never heard of a Sniffle Rose. We still have Lantana, Morning Glory and the Butterfly bush blooming due to our crazy warm weather. And Mom's Camilla has started blooming. She always looks forward to that. We are "Thankful" to have you as friends. Great poem Loulou
Ah the Sniffie Rose is named for Angel Sniffie from Friends FurEver. Mommy and Daddy planted the Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden after Whiskers died in 2007, we plant flowers for our friends when they go to the Rainbow Bridge. MoMo has the Bottlebush as it is from Australia like her. And Daisy the Curly Cat's sister Pixie has a Candelbra plant in her memory. Some of the plants are easily identifiable and we start calling them by the name of the cat/dog they are planted for. Sometimes we have more than ONE of the plant so they just stay called by their regular name.
