Water

Mommy thinks me and Tuiren are weird because we likes to drink the rain water.

Tuiren digs nice holes to collect it for us. It would be very rude of me not to drink it after she put so much effort into collecting it for us.

Anyway the cats have informed me that it's thoroughly poetic day and I has to write a poem about something that starts with a W so I figured I would bark about Water. Here goes........................

Water
Water can be good or bad
Water can make me happy or sad
Having water to drink makes me glad
But using it for a bath just makes me mad
Water straight out of the faucet taste rad
When it falls from the sky it makes me sad
but when I drink it from a puddle it makes me glad

Fenris, writing bad poetry for ATCAD

We also want to tell what we are thankful for. We are thankful for rain, it helps our plants grow. This year we haven't gotten as much rain in the fall as we usually do, things are very dry, this seems to be a common theme in many States. We would like to ask all our friends to purr and cross paws that everyone will get the rain they need. We especially ask for purrs that our friends in North Carolina that are experiencing wildfires get the rain they need to put them out.

We are thankful for water to drink, it keeps us alive. Water is very important and is necessary for so many things and it is something we usually take for granted. It is only when we don't have enough of it, that we realize how very important it is.

Thank you, ~Alasandra, The Cats & Dogs

  2. I luffs the poem and...I totally understand the water thingy...I much prefers marinated rain water to that fresh tap stuffs they put in my bowl (although the sparkling water I snaffle from Dad's water glass is my favourite!)

We're in a drought here so we sure would be thankful for some rain but don't think there is any coming soon.

  8. That was a great poem Fenris. You forgot to mention that rain turns dirt to mud and that is fun to roll in. BOL!

    1. Apparently that is a matter of opinion. As a puppy Fenris wouldn't even step in the mud, now he does run through mud puddles, but he has never rolled in it. Fenris is actually one of the cleanest dogs I have ever had, he is constantly bathing. Perhaps he was unduly influenced by the cats as a puppy.

  10. Water was falling here today, but it was frozen...we didn't like that so much...esp since petcretary wanted to clean up the leaves and do a final mowing...sigh...but we will get some more nice weather, likely on a day the petcretary has to be at her work, BOL!

    That was a fun poem!
