Poplarville teacher and baseball coach Cedric Smith was arrested last week on charges of statutory rape, Poplarville Police Chief Charles Fazende confirmed Tuesday. Smith was arrested Friday for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl student, Fazende said. The age of consent in Mississippi is 16.
Is this what they mean when they say homeschooled students are not being socialized? Between the Bay High Brawls and teachers having sex with underaged students I am not sure I care for the public schools brand of socialization.
