Mercury in Gulf Fish

Gulf Coast researchers are studying mercury levels in Gulf sports fish in hopes of determining how much mercury is contained in each species.

This would be valuable information as it would tell people how much fish they could safely eat. Of course IF you live in Mississippi you may still not see the results of this study unless you look online.

"A handful of states (West Virginia, North Dakota, Mississippi and Alabama) do not have a single store posting signs with the FDA mercury advice," reads the Oceana report.

Alasandra,
Oceana has an interactive map where you can enter your zip code and find out where the grocery stores are nearby that are posting mercury advice, and it also allows folks to get involved in getting signs posted. Check it out here.
