It took me forever to read it. Which probably says more about my mood and the lack of time then the book.
Eric is finally getting to spend the summer at Phantom Lake with his friends. His family has rented a lakeside house called Pinecrest whose former owner Dr. Darby has gone missing. Eric and his friends discover a hidden room in the carriage house that was bricked up. Being teenage boys they unblock it and the nightmares begin climaxing with the Fourth of July massacre.
