Vote NO on Casino Issue

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians remains committed to developing a casino in Jackson County and welcomes a non-binding referendum on the proposal, the tribe said in a statement.


I am a resident of Jackson County and I don't want the Choctaw's casino. Things to keep in mind when you have your chance to vote NO to the casino.

• The Choctaws do NOT and will NOT pay TAXES.
• Increased traffic.
• Increased drunk driving.
• Increased crime.
• Impact on sewer services in Jackson County.
• Will adjacent home owners face increased flooding of their property?
• Proximity of the proposed casino to the Jackson County Campus of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Jackson County Soccer Fields, and the proposed sports complex.
• How would the bright lights from a casino impact the Mississippi Sandhill Cranes at the Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge?
