A man trying to park in a handicap spot Monday instead drove his Cadillac into the dining room of a restaurant, injuring five people, officials said.
The driver and his wife appeared to be in their 70s or 80s, police spokeswoman Sr. Cpl. Donna Hernandez said. It was too soon to say whether the driver would be charged with a crime.
Why is it that 70 & 80 year olds get a pass for bad driving? Undoubtedly if the driver and his wife had been in their teens they would already be charged. Old age is no excuse for endangering the lives of others.
