Alasandra's Book Club ~Waterloo by Bernard Cornwell

I was disappointed, I have read his other series with great pleasure. I suppose Richard Sharpe is suppose to be the main character, but honestly he isn't around much, in fact the book could get along fine without him. Since I tend to care more about the characters in a book, this is a huge drawback as far as I am concerned. If on the other hand you want to read about Waterloo and enjoy dreary details of battle scenes you'll enjoy the book. Considering that many of the commanders were in charge merely because of their birth (title) or wealth it's a wonder anyone survived.

You can read more about Waterloo here.
