Jefferson Davis was born June 3, 1808, in that portion of Christian county, Kentucky, which was afterwards set off as Todd county.
Beauvoir & The Jefferson Davis Presidential Library were damaged during Katrina. Hopefully they will be reopened soon. We were lucky enough to get to go on an archaeological dig at Beauvoir and it is a wonderful place.
