A former New Orleans school board president who ran as a corruption fighter pleaded guilty Wednesday to taking more than $100,000 in bribes to help an unidentified businessman win school contracts for his employer.
Ellenese Brooks-Simms, 67, was charged Wednesday in a federal bill of information with conspiracy to commit bribery. She pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Lance Africk.

this doesn't surprise me.
I have recently posted something about student tour companies offering bribes in disguise to teachers in exchange for a contract. (And it isn't just public schools, and private schools, but faith-based as well!)
I wish I could say I am surprised about the faith based taking bribes but alas that seems to happen all to often these days.
