Charybdis needs to have an echocardiogram done. Who knew 'free' kittens were almost as expensive as 'free' boats. The x-rays that were done when Scylla and Charydis were spayed showed that Charybdis has a heart abnormality that will get worse as she grows. She will either have to have surgery or medication, in order to enjoy a healthy life. The sooner the better as there will be less chance for other organs to be damaged if we are able to nip it in the bud now, before it gets any worse. Unfortuanetly it means traveling to a teaching veternarian school so we will either be making a trip to MSU (where our vets went to school, but it's a longer trip) or LSU.
Thankfully Scylla's x-ray was fine.
