Kashim & Othello are hosting A Weekend in Silence & Remembrance for those of us who have lost pets. I am lighting a candle for our beloved Whiskers who died March 9, 2007.
There is a prayer in our hearts for all the kitties listed at Kashim & Othello's blog, and all the cats and dogs who went to the rainbow bridge before their time due to the pet food recall. You can read some of their stories at The Last Meow.

It's been a sad time in the cat blogosphere as we say goodbye. Hopefully the light of our candles will light the hearts of those left behind.
It made me really sad to see the sea of candles and realize how many beloved pets have been lost.
But it also gave me peace to know that our pets haven't been forgotten and that they live on in our hearts, where their candles will burn forever.
