Sharon Ganssley of the Shiawassee Regional Education Service District, which covers Perry Middle School, said that as far as she knows her district has never pursued charges against a home-schooler.
That, despite the fact that they sometimes see kids pulled from schools who shouldn't be.
And who does Ganssley thing should decide which kids should be homeschooled? IF the public school system had the power to decide which students should remain in the public school system they would insist on keeping the well behaved, high achieving kids that make them look good. The bottom line is parents have the right to decide how their children should be educated, not some crusading teacher, and not a bunch of bureaucrats.
