SuperAngels blathering on about how our mean government might make her sign up for selective service got me to thinking about the hypocrisy of feminism.
Women who were denied the vote agitated until they got it. Women who were discriminated against in the work place agitated until they got a fair playing field. Or in some instances thanks to quotas a playing field leveled in their favor.
But not one woman has spoken out about the practice of forcing young men to sign up for selective service wile young women get a free pass. As long as young men are forced to sign up for selective service, young women should have to sign up too.

I have often mentioned this to the chagrin of many. The only problem I see have to do with drafting of those with children. Both mother and father cannot be sent at the same time, and I could see a need altering the policy for single parent households...male or female.
Honestly I think they should do away with the draft altogether. We seem to have done very well with our all volunteer army.
I don't think parents of either gender should be drafted. Children need both parents.
Although I do know children whose parents are both military. They often wind up with grandparents while their parents are over seas. Although I think the military does try to keep one parent state side and with their children.
