Old enough for the military, but not the men's room?
My 20-year-old son recently returned from a 14-month tour of combat duty with the U.S. Army in Iraq. As part of his homecoming, we treated him and an Army buddy to dinner at a Coast casino.
During dinner, he had to excuse himself to go to the men's room. After an extended absence, we discovered that this 20-year-old soldier had been unceremoniously ejected from the casino and prevented from rejoining us in the dining room because he had not been escorted by an "adult."
This young man was wounded for his country, is a Purple Heart recipient, has been submitted for valorous combat decoration(s) and has - quite literally - destroyed enemies our country directed him to fight.
lodged a complaint with the casino about the way the incident was handled, but on a related note, must ask if there is just one state legislator out there who can explain to me why Mississippi law requires that such a soldier must be escorted by his daddy to go potty?

Which shows how absurd our laws our. At 20 this young man is old enough to be drafted, old enough to join the Army, but he is too young to gamble or drink alcoholic beverages.

How terrible!! They are old enough to fight and possibly die for this country but not old enough to enter an establishment! How incredibly insane is that? What has our country come to?
