They do say that the sound frequency of a cat's purr is maximal for relaxation. That's why I purred and purred at the head of SS's bed when she was very sick with pneumonia last winter.

We are so glad SS recovered from the pneumonia. Mommy said that was nasty stuff. Mommy says our purring is the nicest sound in the world. Whiskers was a champion purrer, you could hear him over the whole house he purred so loud.

I am a good purrer too, but not quite as loud as Whiskers. SS doesn't get sick much at all, not even a cold for years, but when she does she gets really sick.

We are glad to hear SS doesn't get sick much. Our Mommy battles sinus infections and vertigo. With the vertigo sometimes she winds up laying on the couch for days. Luckily the guys are around to feed us and her when that happens.

We are very quiet purrers compared to Whiskers. Scylla is the loudest of the three of us.
