Photo by SSOh, this was so much fun!!!! We have to go back again next year. We felt like princess in our lovely costumes, and Socks looked so handsome. MoMo had to talk him into dressing up, but he looked so nice he was glad he did. And SS took this lovely picture of us, that was so nice of her. We think Charybdis' black streak on her forehead made her look very sophisticated in her headdress. The headdresses did get kinda heavy after awhile, but didn't we look nice in them?
We stayed at of The Westin Excelsior, Venice Lido Resort. It's a luxury hotel and it had magnificent views of the sea, lagoon and hotel gardens.We ate at La Caravella. It is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Venice and serves typical Venetian dishes in an elegant and romantic atmosphere, always accompanied by impeccable hospitality. I am afraid we were pigs everything looked so good, we ate some of everything on the menu.
Socks and Momo danced the night away at the ball.
Don't they make a lovely couple?Socks and MoMo went gliding down the Grand Canal while we (Scylla & Charybdis) went shopping. Since Mommy likes horses (and they didn't have any cats) we wanted to get this for Mommy
It is from the Murano Glass Collection but we didn't have any lira. You can read more about what a wonderful time we had in Venice at MoMo's blog. MoMo introduced us to her friends Sassy, Opus and Roscoe, Karl and Ruis, Mrs Oz, Asta and her doggie friend Charlie. They were all in Venice for the Carnival.

That was a fun trip - Venice is totally romantic, especially with Socks being there with me! What a coincidence! I got a glass horse for my gran as well.

Hey all stopped by to check things out. I was so glad that we had a change to meet in Venice for Carnival. I like Socks a lot and this is important as Momo is my sissy. Ya two make a cute couple. I so like watching everycat/doggie at the ball. Oh what fun.

It was great to meet you. We hope the staff didn't get to angry at you for forgetting to get them a souvenir. Staff/Mommy's can be so temperamental sometimes? Can you imagine they don't appreciate getting dead mice for their birthdays?
