Whiskers left us a year ago today. My heart is sad that he is no longer with me but I hope he is having a wonderful time with Snowball, Dingo and Squalling Baby. And one day I hope we are all together again. Whiskers you will always be a part of my heart. I miss you my darling boy. For those of you unfamiliar with it you will find the poem Rainbow Bridge below.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together

Mommy was at werk yesterday and was talking to a lady whos doggie recently went to the bridge. She said the lady was filled with joy knowing that he wasn't in pain anymore, and happy where he was playing with his litter mate, and happily waiting for her to get there. She's a very nice lady and mommy thinks she is very wise.
And we think you too should be confident and happy. Because, they are our loyal companies, and we know they'll be waiting for you at the end of the bridge! :)
I'm sorry for your loss- i really am. Our hearts go out to you, but remember, they're always with us :)

It is good to remember our friends at the Rainbow Bridge. Whiskers seems like he was a very wonderful cat.
He was Daisy. One day I will have to tell everyone about Whiskers the Wonder Cat. ~Socks
It is sad to lose a friend but one day I sincerely hope that we will all meet again!
These furry furriends may be gone but they always retain a place in our hearts and be part of us for the rest of our lives. They will never be forgotten.
Mommy often tells us stories about her first cat (Snowball) and all the other terrific cats she has known.
