An Arkansas mayor who ordered 10 Humane Society dogs let loose in a national forest is wanted on animal cruelty charges after a special judge issued an arrest warrant.
Officials say that about half of the dogs have been found, and that two or three others were shot by a resident who saw them on his land.
We hope the rest of the doggies are OK, and that they will find a safe haven somewhere.

So many people, so unkind to animals...
We wish everyone would be kind to animals and each other. The world would be a much better place.
well how much brain power did this guy have? Never mind, I don't mean to be cruel, but mayor and Arkanas, well, I don't think there is brain power.
Honestly they should put us cats and dogs in charge. We would do a much better job. It is raining so we have to turn the puter off. ~Socks, Charybdis & Scylla (who is stuck out in the rain)
I am glad the dogs will get some justice. I wish, instead, they have gotten some love and kindness.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if beans would learn to treat animals with love and kindness and each other too.
We are at a loss as how we can help these poor doggies, other then purr for them.

We remember reading the story of that stupid and cruel mayor. Someone should turn him loose in the wilderness with no survival skills to see how it feels. Much like the woman who abandoned all those cats one night and a judge made her spend a night in the area.
