Federal officials are considering euthanizing wild horses to deal with the growing population on the range and in holding facilities, authorities said Monday.
Wild horses have overpopulated public lands and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management can't afford to care for the number of mustangs that have been rounded up, said Henri Bisson, the agency's deputy director. Also, fewer people are adopting the horses, he said.
This is so sad. Horses are very sweet and gentle creatures. Mommy had a horse once whose best friend was a cat. The kitty lived in the horse's stall with him, wasn't that neat? These wild horses certainly deserve better treatment then they are getting.

I think we should protect and treasure our wild horses. I am very sad about this.

There are any number of God's creatures that deserve better treatment than they receive from man. It's really sad. Horses are magnificent creatures.
