Flowers on Friday by Scylla
I love this morning glory, it is such a pretty color and so cheerful but..................................
it is growing where it shouldn't. It has taken over Mommy's azalea. She said when it stops blooming we will have to pull it up. I do wish it would grow around the birdhouse or the mailbox where Mommy wants it to, instead of in her azaleas. ~Scylla

Scylla, we have those pretty morning glories here, too, and they are so strong, they pull down entire fences! I do not think I'd want one in my yard either, unless it could learn to behave and grow where mommy tells it to..but that's not likely.
It is a very disobedient flower. ~Scylla
Scylla - Last year Crazy Lady planted a whole packet of Morning Glory seeds around the post where our birdhouse is and none of them grew!!!! So, feel lucky that you have some - even if in the wrong place!

Thomas, Phoebe and Trixie,
We sympathize. Mommy planted morning glory seeds around our bird feeder, which is on the other side of the house and far away from the azaleas. Not a one came up.
But then this disobedient one shows up in the azaleas. And while we like it and if Mommy wasn't worried about it killing the azalea would leave it, it is very aggravating.
Mommy is going to try to get it's roots when she pulls it up and move it to where we want it. If it doesn't survive the move Mommy feels sure another one will pop up in the azaleas, where we don't want it. ~Scylla
I's saw your comment. I hope you's OK and that the hurrrycane leafs you alone!
Thank you Texas, we have our paws crossed that it will miss us. ~S, S & C
That's a nice idea--to enjoy the blooms. We don't have any thank goodness so we'll just enjoy yours! Thanks!
love & wags,
