Man Cat Monday ~Meet Mr. Gecko

I rescued this little fellow from my sisters. His name is Mr. Mediterranean Gecko. Unfortunately he seems to have misplaced his tail, in Charybdis' mouth.
Do you see me looking out the window? I blend in very well with the dark. On the other hand Charybdis sticks out like a sore thumb.

The beans ran away from home this weekend. First they went to help eldest boy bean move into his dorm room early Friday morning and then they went to see the Grandparents. Mommy and Daddy rode the motorcycle and they didn't get back until late Saturday night. Charybdis and I are watching for them. I am happy to report that we should be back to our regularly scheduled visiting starting today. ~Socks

Hello Mr. Mediterranean Gecko. It is very nice to meet you. We are dreadfully sorry about the loss of your tail. We hope that you can grow another one! I'm so glad that you were rescued. You are very cute!

My Dear Gecko,

Let me assure you that the Cats are otherwise friendly folks, and, saving your tail, would not otherwise molest you. A wiggly tail is difficult to resist!

Thank you Angus, I didn't mean to bite Mr. Gecko's tail off. I just couldn't help myself. ~Charybdis

Hi Taylor Catsssss, I shall try to grow another one and endeavor to keep it out of cats mouths (no offense) You can learn more about me here http://clta-az.tripod.com/id3.html. ~Mr. Gecko

Love the gecko!! We're sure that the tail biting incident was merely a mistake and won't happen again.

You were left alone most of the weekend while the humans partied on a motorcycle?

Poor Mr. Tailess Gecko. Good thing Daisy didn't catch him. He'd be toast!

Everybody wins--Charybdis gets a 'coup' and the gecko will grow a new tail. Although I'm sure losing a tail isn't pleasant! Hope you grown one soon, Mr. Gecko. My brother Petey found a blue gecko but my mom saved him, too bad.

love & wags,
River

He looks very different than the lizards that live by me! But the south Florida lizards seem to lose their tails very easily, too.

Mommy thinks Mr. Gecko is CUTE! You can't tell from the picture but he is a very pretty pink color.

Yep, the beans left us all by our lonesomes. We are very glad they got WET on the way home. It serves them right for abandoning us. ~S, S & C

Oooh, College? How fun! So, does that mean you get his room?

Alastriona, The Cats and Dogs said...

His room is actually better with him in it as he is good for snuggling and petting, but his room has tons of good places for cats to sleep. He has a huge cat pillow that looks like Whiskers and his bed spread and throw has cats on it. It is a very cat friendly room. ~Socks

Our little lizards lose their tails too. They aren't as much fun when they do that.

You are welcome JFF.

Sniffie and the Florida Furkids, you are so right the wiggly tail is the best part, once they lose it we lose interest in them. ~S, S & C

PS: Everybody the beans are going to be gone tomorrow so come on over for a house trashing party Tuesday AM.

KC, I think I shall decline the kind invitation. I have found a nice hidey hole and I think I shall stay there. Mr. Gecko

Socks, that was very thoughtful of you to help out Mr. Gecko. Charybdis was not very considerate of his tail, was she.
Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
P.S. I hope Clint the dog gets his new hips soon!

Boy, do I understand how it feels to have the beans leave you. I hope they get back soon.

I think Mr. Gecko's cousin has been in my house.
