Texas and The Cat Realm, dare you all to do something to raise money for cancer research, especially for cats.
- - donate- These are two places that you could donate too
Winn Feline Foundation – Winn is a non-profit organization established in 1968 that supports studies about cat health. Projects funded by Winn have provided information that is used every day in veterinary medicine to treat cat diseases. When donating, you can specify that it go for cancer research, or another disease, if you wish.
The CSU Animal Cancer Center – The mission of the Robert H. and Mary G. Flint Animal Cancer Center is to improve prevention and treatment of cancer in animals and humans. The Center focuses on the thoughtful, innovative, caring, and careful study of the causes and treatment of the disease in animals. - volunteer somewhere- A special needs rescue would be a good place if there was one near you. The closest one to us is in Mobile, AL. It's called Lauren's Zoo. And of course adopting or sponsoring a special needs pet would be a great thing to do too. You could also ask your veterinarian if they know of something you could do to help a cat/dog with cancer.
- put a link to a site on your blogs- Feline Cancer Resources seems to have a lot of information about cancer in cats on their site. We are going to look at it closer later.
- take the Petey challenge-
- or whatever else you can come up with to help.

What a wonderful thing to do to honor Texas. He was a great cat and he inspired everyone who knew him. I plan to check out all of the resources and donate time and money to this good cause.
And thanks to Texas and you for bringing this to our attention.

I also wanted to let you know that there is a big fundraiser for human cancer research at http://su2c.standup2cancer.org/
Thanks Katie, you can learn more about cervical cancer here http://www.nccc-online.org/
Mommy is going to post about it at Alasandra's Place.
ML, you are very welcome. We just wish they could have found a cure in time for Texas.

Karl,
We wonder if blogger is eating comments. We thought we had commented on someones blog and when we went back later we hadn't.
Maybe we are just confused cats too.
