Today is our Daddy's birthday, he is a very old man. He has lived over 4 decades, and he has been married to our Mommy for half his life.

What? Oh, Jan heard that. She says we should lie about our own age instead of hers. But we're still young. What would be the point?
JFF, we think you put too many 0's on Jan's birthday. And remember you depend on her for food, if you are going to lie about her age you should lie in the opposite direction. In other words we are sure you meant to say that Jan isn't a day over 25, right????
Happy Birthday to your Daddy!!!! Hope it is a happy one. Isn't it just lovely that your mom and dad spent half of their lives together! My gran said she spent over 40 years of her life with grandpa and they had never been apart for more than 2 days at any one time.
