METAL holds our fountain up. Sometimes Mommy gets very annoyed when the METAL pieces come apart when she is getting the algae out of the bowls. Mommy says they make stuff to put in the fountains to keep algae from growing but she can't use it cause us bad kitties drink out of the fountain. Honestly what did she expect? Mommy can just wash the bowls out when they get gunky.

We don't mind if your Mommy has to wash them. Our Grampy has to keep cleaning our out, too. The fountains are so beautiful and sound so wonderful that we think it should be worth some effort!
We agree. Honestly we don't know what beans would do if they didn't have us kitties to keep them in line, Gandalf and Grayson.

Running water to drink from is the best! How furry lucky you are! Nevermind the algae... in fact, aren't they sort of fun to play with? You could help fishing them out...

Hmm.. we wondered why it's so wrong to drink from any containers in the house. Is there any problem at all in quenching our thirsts from the plastic container, basin, floor, toilet bowl, aquarium, unwashed dishes? Haiz... LOL!
