Mancat Monday

Hi guys, The Whiskers Memorial Butterfly Garden is my favourite place to hang out. I am glad y'all could stop by for a visit. Can you believe these pictures were taken in February. Even in the winter time there is something blooming in our garden.

The woods next to the garden is full of birds and squirrels. I have a marvelous time hunting in there. When I get tired of hunting I find a sunny spot in the garden to bask. Mommy often comes to sit in the garden or to weed the flower beds and I come out of the woods to visit with her.

And the best news of all. Remember Mommy planted some catnip in the garden last year, but she thought we deaded it. Well it is coming back up. We have already been enjoying rolling around in it. In fact yesterday Scylla was in such a bliss induced nip haze she let Fenris lick her, when Mommy brought him to the garden for a visit.

Nice to see you out in the wilds, Socks!

Even though your catnip isn't deaded, you should get your mom to plant some more!!!

Have you tried catmint? You guys might be too hot though.

Mommy planted some in a pot in the green house. She is going to keep it safely imprisoned in there. Assuming it comes up. She used seeds and so far they haven't done anything. We have been trying to find catmint. Somebody told us catmint and catnip are the same thing ........if they aren't we cant find the mint down here. Not even at the Herb & Garden Fest, where Mommy went hunting it. ~Socks

Oh-- fresh catnip. Mmmmm.

We wish our garden were a bit more spring-like but things are pretty dead back there. I saw some daffodils poking their heads up the other day!

Wow! That looks like a wonderful place to hang out and relax and chase butterflies. We wish we had something like that near our yard! You are so lucky!

Once again, we are envious of your garden. We just get to look out on ours, but today all the windows are open and we are sniffin, big time.

Teri loves your butterfly chair. She saw a green verdigris one at the butterfly exhibit in Key West Florida.

Mmmm... You're so lucky, Socks! We DID deaded our catnip last year. Maybe Grampy will plant some more this year. Ahhhh. That would be lovely.

How cool that Scylla let Fenris lick her - the start of a great furiendship?

We can't wait to see some butterflies.

Looks like a very cool garden!

We're glad to hear about the 'nip. The humans just got some seeds today and are going to plant 'nip in our cat yard! We're so excited.

Nip is pawsome. Fenris even likes the smell of it. But then he likes to sniff most everything. ~Socks

You've meade some changes to your blog. Your sidebar is at the bottom of the page.

from Karla at Miss Peach's:

My sidebar was missing on Friday and I had to reformat the post body and make it a tad smaller so the sidebar would pop back where it belonged and not be all the way at the end of the page.
