Do you see the woodpecker? It is feeding it's young.Fenris' Funday
Mommy is fixing to take me for a walk. She wanted to make this picture first.
Do you see the woodpecker? It is feeding it's young.
Now we has a question for you. Mommy doesn't know the name of this flower. When she was little she used to have some, the lady that gave them to her called them Monkey Faces. Mom-in-law had some at her house and she gave some to Mommy, but like Mommy she only knows them as Monkey Faces. We can't find any info about them online or in our gardening books. Do you know the real name of this flower?

We hope you enjoyed your walk Fenris. Sorry we don't know the real name of that flower.
Hope you had a nice walk. We've got woodpeckers at our summerhouse too. Noisy fellows.
We think the flower is a purple blur ;-)

PeeEssWoo: sorry, furry little flower knowledge here!
I am happy to report the flower is doing OK even though we don't know it's real name. It has almost filled the pot up and has tons of blooms on it. Thanks for visiting me. ~Fenris
We don't know the flower name, but Monkey Face sounds close enough for us!
How neat-o that you caught the Woodpecker feeding the babies!
Fenris - you are adorable.
We did a search for "flowers and monkey face" - could it be a mimulus?

Tail wags, the OP Pack
i have a few names it could be?
"Angelonia"
"Mimulus Ringen"
or possibly,
"Achimenes"
Try those?
Hope you had fun on your walk! Maybe it's a Morning Glory flower?
We too think it might be a mimulus.
You're looking very handsome, Fenris!
We thinks it may be an Achimenes (the pictures look like it) but we have never seen tubers on them. We will keep an eye out this fall. ~S,S, C & F

I hope you enjoyed your nice walk. Sorry, I do not know the name of the flower.
We can see the woodpecker but not its young. Jan can't remember seeing a woodpecker till she moved here. Maybe she did when she was a kid, but not since.
