The Camellia is an evergreen and the frost will not hurt it. It blooms in the winter all the way to spring. It is the state flower of Alabama.
We thought the Candlebush and the Red Hibiscus looked nice together. Jack Frost killed them though. Now Mommy has to cut them back.
Before Jack Frost killed the Candlebush Mommy collected seeds. Do you see the seed pods on the bush?
Jack Frost got our Confederate Rose too, but it will come back from the roots next spring.
Mommy rooted some Red Hibiscus before Jack Frost killed it.
We just thought this looked weird. We thinks it is seeds.
We don't know much about the Bottlebrush, maybe MoMo can tell us more about it. Jack Frost didn't seem to hurt it and it is still blooming.
Some of the leaves on some of the trees are even changing color.

Wow, very pretty indeed, I am glad to see your leaves are changing color too...I thought something was wrong with our trees! Hey Scylla, be right there sweetie!!!
Hi guys, we wanted to say, we are VERY sad that someone blamed you for what happened with Whiskers. That makes us very very angry. It's always easier for other individuals to point the blame and say 'you idiot it's all your fault.' and you know what- that was NOOOOOT your fault! We want your mom to stop feeling bad about it. The only person who is responsible for that is the person who failed to do a good quality control check when shipping the food out. Please don't feel bad about what happened with that.
As with Charybdis- you also have nothing here that you can be blamed for. We are terribly sorry for your loss- we did love her, she was adorable, and of course, all calicos remind us of our darling tesla. And what it means to us. We take it personally, like they are our own. Because we were part of her story, she was part of ours. The blogosphere is about knowing each other from across the world, and becoming a giant family. And that's how we truly feel about it.
We know how cruel words can be- and honestly, when you're hurting, that person is inhuman to talk like that to you. They're probably angry at some kind of mistake they made themselves so they're taking it out on you because it's easier.
We will be keeping her in our hearts. We lit a candle last night for many hours- it was a peach scented lovely smell, and we hope it helped light the way for little charybdis.
If you need to talk ever, just let us know ok? We would be happy to listen, and to help, to make sure you know that NONE of this, or any previous accident, was your fault. It was just that, a horrible accident. Unfortunately mom sees accidents ALL the time at work- and that's all they are, a horrible turn of fortune. Please be well. know we are thinking of you all.
It's so nice to see flowers when everything in our yard is brown...
The flowers look particularly lovely to us as we are surrounded by snow and ice. Thank you for posting them!
How beaWOOOOtiful!

You sure have the beautiful garden at your place. I bet you all enjoy many sunny days out there.
You all always have so many pretty garden things. We are learning a lot and can't believe things are still blooming.
