Mancat Monday ~ Socks

I likes hanging out in the butterfly garden.

It is nice and cool in the shade.

Plus I am hard to see when I am in the shade, shade is good camouflage.

Mommy I am tired of having my picture made.

Safe at last, I bet she doesn't even know I am here.

Ha, she still hasn't found me.

Mommy tell them about the flowers in the tea cup.

The green & white leaves are Lamiastrum galeobdolon (aka Hermann's Pride), the yellow leaves are Lysimachia congestiflora (aka Walkabout Sunset), the green leaves are Golden Globe (it will have pretty yellow flowers and it did great last year and survived the winter and came back up), and I can't remember the name of the plant with red leaves.

Good help is hard to find, is it to much to ask that Mommy remember the names of the plants for us?

Guess I'll take a nap now.

Socks, you look like a mighty lion out in your garden. :-)

We're impressed you know so many names of the plants/flowers. Our own human doesn't know many at all!

Good to see so many pics of your handsome self. We are impressed with your mom's botanical knowledge. My SS knows nothing at all and I'm supposed to be a gardening cat. :sigh:

Socks, hanging out in the butterfly garden must be fun, 'specially if you get to chase some butterflies!

Your mom is very smart to know all the names of the flowers. My mom doesn't know and she sometimes takes flowers and leaves to the garden store so they can tell her what Jonesie has grown. Sigh...

That was a good tour of the garden, Socks, but we think Mommy photoed ya when ya thought ya were hidden.

But we wanned ta mention we have tried that Hermans Pride plant here as a whole border three year ago. We have half shade here an its sposed to tolerate dry half shade. Other plants did well. Oh well.
