Tasty Tuesday with Artemisia

Good morning everyone.I likes spending time with TALLULAH SKYE. Today we are discussing herbs.

These herbs are in Mommy's herb bed. This is the curry.

Parsley

Lavender, it smells good.

Greek & Italian Oregano

Thyme

Fennel, the Fennel was here all winter. It is very hardy.

I am explaining how you can use herbs in cooking to make your food tasty. The lavender is just to smell good though not for cooking and the curry smells like the curry you cook with but isn't. It will make you sick if you eat it. We also has some dill coming up in the bed from seeds. TALLULAH SKYE was very impressed with my knowledge of herbs and found the cooking lesson very interesting. I am going to have to see about arranging a visit for her to the kitchen so she can see how Mommy cooks first hand. ~Artemisia

Thanks for the great toue Artemisia! Your heb garden looks fab! We just have chives and some parsley that is returning from last year. A big herb garden is in the works but probably won't happen for a few years. Your fennel looks very fluffy!

You are not only cute and beautiful but very knowledgeable as well. your mommy has a great herb garden. SS is thinking of establishing a small one so that we can use our own herbs when cooking and not have to race down to the supermarket every time.

The only herb we grow is CATNIP! Mommy loves fennel, maybe she'll try that next year. She didn't know it was a perennial.

Great tour, Artemisia! We have parsley, oregano, cilantro, thyme, chives, and sage. We plan to try more next year, since these are doing well. The Big Thing loves them. We, of course, pay more attention to the catmint...
