We got these Gladiolas for FREE. Grandma gave them to us.
We got this plant for FREE too. The people who gave it to us told Mommy it was a Wisteria. So Mommy planted it next to our wood fence (the fence is gone now). Well it wasn't a Wisteria like the people said. They were from up North so (sigh) they probably didn't know what a Wisteria was. It is a Japanese Crepe Myrtle, Crape Myrtle 'Acoma' Lagerstroemia. It has very pretty blooms on it but Mommy wishes she had known it was a Crepe Myrtle so she could have planted it somewhere better suited for it. It is planted under an Oak tree and has gotten to tall for where it is at.
See?
The eggplant plant wasn't FREE either, but we sure are enjoying the FREE eggplants we get off of it.
Our Oregano, doesn't it look pretty blooming. We had to buy the plant, but now we has a FREE herb to use in our cooking.

We heard TBT say ya can stuff and fry squash blossoms. It sounds awful (unless the stuff is ham), but ya might give it a try...
