Mommy got some herbs for the Herb Bed.
She got ornamental peppers (they aren't a herb but she stuck them in the Herb Bed anyway.
The herbs she got are Stevia, Chamomile (it smells like apples), Tricolor Sage, Mexican Tarragon and our purrsonal favourite CATNIP.
Socks and I examined all the herbs to make sure they were healthy. We has to admit we paid extra attention to the Catnip.
We helpled Mommy select the best places to plant them.
After she got them all planted we meowed at her to remind her to water them. We already have Curry, Fennel and Oregano, growing in the bed and we has some Yarrow poking it's head up.
We thinks everything looks very nice in there.
Now we are off to Jonesie's to make our report to The Society of Feline Gardeners. ~Socks & Artemisia

WOW! Your herb bed is looking lovely!
Sorry we haven't been visiting much lately ~ mom has a lot to do and has now decided to take a mini blogcation while she sorts some important stuff out.
Love Alfie xx
Mommy tried planting stevia once but the once healthy plant (from the nursery) decided life just wasn't worth living after a month.
Well done adorable Socks and Artemisia!! You did a great job snoopervising mum! Your herb planter is bound to be a winner! Yay! Take care

Well done indeed! We're impressed with your herb garden.
Our human would like to know how the stevia does, as she uses it as a sweetener in some of her drinks. What part of the plant is processed for this?
Just ONE catnip???? Send her BACK fur MORE!!!
Your mom is growing you some catnip? Lucky you! And it looks like you've got free access to the nip, there. Again, lucky you! My peep has promised me a catnip garden this year but she's gonna plant it in a cage. Not lucky me.
Our Mom bought some herb plants yesterday. Her basil and rosemary made it though the winter. She promised us catnip too! Of course she deaded our last plant so we're not expecting much from her.

It looks like you are taking care of the herb bed just fine

What a lovely herb garden in your raised bed! Will you be able to resist the urge to nibble on the catnip? I don't see how one catnip plant will last long around you kitties(?)
