REMEMBER
by: Christina Rossetti
(1830-1894)
- EMEMBER me when I am gone away,
- Gone far away into the silent land;
- When you can no more hold me by the hand,
- Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.
- Remember me when no more day by day
- You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
- Only remember me; you understand
- It will be late to counsel then or pray.
- Yet if you should forget me for a while
- And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
- For if the darkness and corruption leave
- A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
- Better by far you should forget and smile
- Than that you should remember and be sad.
The pink Angel Trumpet finally bloomed right before Thanksgiving. We have decided that this will be Jan's flower in our garden, and that when it blooms we will think of her.
It is a very nice shade of pink.
Mommy has carted it off to live in the greenhouse for the winter. Since it is in the Greenhouse where it is warm we expect to see it blooming throughout the year, so we will be thinking of Jan often. We will always treasure Jan's friendship and the warmth of her smile. ~Socks, Scylla, Fenris & Alasandra

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman... she will be greatly missed
We are so sad and sorry that Jan had to leave us. We send love and purrs to all her family and friends. xxx
What a beautiful flower and a touching way to remember Jan, too.
We didn't know Jan very well, but have visited her blog a lot recently, and know that she was loved by so many people, who wished they could have met her in person.
The CB makes the miles between us disappear and we are left behind with regrets that those dreams will not ever be real now...
I brings me comfort to know that the Meezers will help Jan's husband through this saddest of times...a part of her that will be with him always. Sending our sympathies their way...
How neat to have a blooming flower to remind you of Jan.
What a lovely memorial for Jan. We will miss her very much.
Our friend Jan would love this! Jan loved nature, flowers and especially hummingbirds. We bet that some lovely hummingbirds will find their way to that flower:)
