Vet Visit

I wents to the vet yesterday. I was just suppose to have a dental but when they opened my mouth they found a 1 inch stick suck in my jaw joint (left temperomandibular area), the open and necrotic area caused by the stick was cleaned and packed with antibiotics and I has medicine to take at home.

Mommy says I am doing super good. As soon as we got home I ate an entire can of dogfood and took my medicine like a good girl. Before bed time I was even eating the hard treats ( Hills Science Diet Dental Food) they sent home with me. And I am doing well this morning. I has taken my antibiotic and eaten some of the treats.

Socks and Scylla came to get me at the vets.

Socks bloodwork was GREAT, he has a slight heart mummer but the vet said due to his age and the thyroid thing it was to be expected and she isn't worried about it. It was very slight.

Scylla has lost a few more ounces and she looks great, she got a good checkup too. So Mommy said overall we all got gold stars.

OMD Tuiren! Thank Dog the vets found that stick and got it out of your mouth. I'm so worried about you now. Please continue to be a good girl and take all the medicines you are supposed to. I like to chew on sticks too so I will try to be careful and not get any stuck in my mouth.

Feel better soon.

Yours,

Walter

Thanks everyone!!!!! Mommy and the vet are flabbergasted that I didn't show any signs of being in pain. At least my stinky breath is gone now, I had an abscess that was full of puss and draining, and that is why my breath smelt so bad.

Whoa! Your Mom didn’t know you had a stick in your jaw. Dogs must have pretty big mouths. TW panics over everything. I drank water today so it’s a panic moment.

Yikes! A stick! Mom is saying the word, "I told you so." She never lets me enjoy sticks like my friend Lyla does. I'm happy the doctor fixed your stick-hole and you're doing well. Maybe chew them better next time. xoxo

Love and licks,

Walter, I hope you don't get any sticks stuck in your mouth. I guess the next time my Mommy and Fenris say I have stinky breath I should go to the vet as that was the only sign something was wrong. ~Your, Tui

I thinks I may just avoid sticks altogether, they seem to be very vicious around here. ~Tuiren
