Oh, your green heron is very cool! Our human sometimes sees herons here, just a glimpse in passing. Maybe he'd like to make friends with you. :-)
Great job teaching mom how to stalk. Beautiful picture of the heron.Scout Charles
I didn't even know there was a green heron. The blue is my favourite bird. Thanks for sharing!
That is so cool! Now you have 2 different types of heron at your pond.
That is interesting, I had never heard of this kind. I love to see the blue herons nesting- they look prehistoric in swamp trees.
The Green Heron is one of my favorites, great series!
We have never seen a heron here, but your Mom got some great pics to share with us.Woos - Ciara and Lightning
That is a very pretty bird.... pretty big too! We used to have lots of blue herons fly overhead here and yikes! Sure glad we're not fish or frogs!
What a great encounter!
Lovely series of shots.
We see that rarely, and sometimes the black crowned night heron too...but meowmy nevfur has the camera in her hands...Herons are neat birds to watch and see. So shy too! Your pics are amazing!
